Equine Care

Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital is very passionate about horses, as most of our staff is actively involved in the rodeo circuit and have horses of their own. One of the ways that our practice stands out from others is the use of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (EWST). This type of therapy is used to treat musculoskeletal soft tissue pain and disorders in horses. This therapy requires no sedation, offers immediate relief, is non-invasive and has no known side effects. EWST is an ideal alternative to surgery and drugs when treating horse injuries. The treatments are low cost, effective and require only a few sessions that can be done by our doctors on an outpatient basis.

Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital is convenient to pet parents in Vidalia, Ferriday, Jonesville, Jena, Winnsboro, Natchez, MS, and everywhere in between.

Comprehensive Steadfast Reliable Veterinary Care

Established by Dr. Debbie Paul Guillory in 1983, Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital started out in a mobile trailer located on Airport Road. Growing with the needs of the community, in 1995, the practice moved to the big red barn that stands today on Highway 84, just a stone’s throw from the original office. Joined by her daughter, Dr. Veronica Paul, in 2005, this mother-daughter team is committed to providing the best veterinary care available whether it’s a routine check-up, diagnosing an illness, treating an injury, performing surgery, or handling an emergency.
