Our Services

Surgery

Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital has a state-of-the-art surgical suite located inside our hospital. This hospital has the ability to examine your pet before surgery through x-rays and blood lab work to give the doctor the most recent information possible. During surgery, our staff monitors your pet’s blood pressure, heart rate and breathing ability while undergoing their procedure. After surgery, our technicians and doctors supervise the vital signs and pain level using monitors and constant nursing. Your pet will be kept warm and well fed and as comfortable as possible until it is time for you to take them home for your own personal TLC.

Several types of surgeries are performed at Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital including:

  • Spay and neuter
  • Laceration and small wound repair
  • Reconstructive surgery
  • Soft tissue removal and repair
  • Orthopedic surgery

At Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital we will have you bring your pet in for a physical exam to determine if and when surgery is needed. Once we proceed with surgery, our team will instruct you on how to care for your pet at home and will also make regular check-ups to see how your animal companion is faring.

Please set up an appointment with Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital if you are interested in seeing surgical options for your pet. We provide surgical services to large and small animal pet owners in Vidalia, Ferriday, Jonesville, Jena, Winnsboro, as well as Natchez, MS, and everywhere in between.

Comprehensive Steadfast Reliable Veterinary Care

Established by Dr. Debbie Paul Guillory in 1983, Miss-Lou Veterinary Hospital started out in a mobile trailer located on Airport Road. Growing with the needs of the community, in 1995, the practice moved to the big red barn that stands today on Highway 84, just a stone’s throw from the original office. Joined by her daughter, Dr. Veronica Paul, in 2005, this mother-daughter team is committed to providing the best veterinary care available whether it’s a routine check-up, diagnosing an illness, treating an injury, performing surgery, or handling an emergency.
